1. Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That

This features the image of Sweet Brown (Kimberly Wilkins), a local resident of Oklahoma City who fled from a fire in her apartment, giving an empathic interview ending with the words “ain’t nobody got time for that!” which also spread like wildfire, especially the auto-tuned remix of the said interview, and of course, the captioned images.

2. Unflattering Beyonce

One of the funniest (and controversial) celebrity-related memes of 2013, it features singer Beyonce’s ‘unflattering’ photos that were taken from her Super Bowl performance, which were then Photoshopped onto various pictures.

3. Harlem Shake

Harlem Shake is more than just a random dance craze that popped out of nowhere – it came out of YouTube as a viral dance video. Not to be confused with the original Harlem Shake hip-hop dance, in this video, a person dances solo first and then everyone else joins at the chorus, doing random dance steps.

4. Surprised Patrick

Much like the Spongebob Rainbow Meme, this also spread through the net by using a picture of Patrick surprised (from the Spongebob Squarepants Movie) often to express shock or disbelief over certain media.

5. Selfie

Most of us have already been taking selfies (pictures of themselves) long before it was called ‘selfie’, but this year is where the term got its rocket boost, There had been submemes pertaining to selfies as well.

6. One Million Facebook Likes Pleas

This is also a funny meme that makes use of handwritten signs that state a ‘plead for 1 million likes’ for his or her page that will help win a bet or do a dare in real life.

7. Gwiyomi Song

We all know this familiar Korean tune / hand gesture song that has been mimicked and became viral in almost every media – YouTube, interviews, etc. ‘Gwiyomi’ (Kiyomi) is the Korean word for ‘cute person’.

8. Said No One Ever

This is yet another popular internet phrase that states an opinion or fact that almost no one likes or agrees on.

9. It Would Be a Shame If Something Happened To It

This is another popular internet phrase that denotes someone or something ruining a perfect image or work, saying that “it would be a shame if” someone or something ruined it.

10. Boardroom Suggestion

Three employees are asked of their opinion on something, the two suggest selfish or profitable ideas and the third one is kicked out of the building due to an idea that is more consumer-friendly.

11. Apply Cold Water to That Burn

It’s a picture of applying cold water to a burned part of a hand, used for mocking or deregulatory purposes of someone or something. Another variation is Aston Kutcher’s ‘Burn!’ image.

12. You Had One Job

This is somewhat similar to the FAIL images, but with the phrase “you had one job” for a working individual to have failed his task due to the catastrophe in the image.

13. Apology Cakes

If you’re a Tumblr user, then you’ve probably seen this memes all over the site. It uses a picture of a cake with Comic Sans text stating an apology for a certain post or fandom, especially flooding someone’s dashboard with reblogs and posts.

This is a social / political photography blog that works the entire opposite of its blog title. It features mostly iconic personalities.
