Samsung Galaxy S3: How To Delete Apps

In the beginning, it is usual for smart phone users to download multiple apps and oftentimes, the majority of these applications end up abandoned and never used again after the initial excitement wears off.From a game that you wanted to try but quickly became bored, to an app that lets you change the appearance of any picture that you take with the camera.

Adding and deleting apps is the easiest way to customize your smart phone to your personal liking. There are several methods that you can use to modify your smart phone’s applications but they are very simple. By following these steps you can delete apps from your Samsung Galaxy S3 quickly.


First method

  1. Unlock your Samsung Galaxy S3 and from the home screen, find the ‘Apps’ button.
  2. As the list of your installed applications shows up, click on the ‘Menu’ button usually found on the upper part of the screen.
  3. Now you will see the list of your applications shake, the ones with the ‘X’ mark can be deleted. Press the application you want to delete.
  4. Confirm that you wish to uninstall the application and wait until the process is complete.
  5. You cannot delete many applications at the same time, so you have to repeat steps 1-4 to continue deleting others.

Second method

  1. Unlock your Samsung Galaxy S3 and from the home screen, find the ‘Apps’ button.
  2. On the menu of your installed applications, find and select ‘Play Store’.
  3. In the Google Play Store, select ‘Menu’ and find ‘My Apps’ on the options.
  4. Now you will see the list of the apps you installed through the Play Store. Select the app you decided to remove.
  5. Tap ‘Uninstall’ and confirm to delete the application.

Third method

  1. Unlock your Samsung Galaxy S3 and from the home screen, find the ‘Apps’ button. (You can also swipe down your screen so you can find the ‘Notification bar’.)
  2. Either way, find the ‘Settings’ menu on your phone.
  3. Now look for and select ‘Application Manager’.
  4. Select ‘All’ so you can see the installed apps on list-view.
  5. Now find the application that you wish to remove, select ‘Uninstall’ and confirm.

By following any of these three steps you can delete apps from the Samsung Galaxy S3. Whichever method you choose customizing your smart phone has never been easier and all three methods provide a quick and uncomplicated solution to removing any unwanted application.

Other things you need to know:

  1. Please note that the only applications you can remove are those that you personally installed on the smartphone. Any app that came with the phone cannot be removed this way.

Having many apps on your Samsung Galaxy S3 can decrease the phone’s memory and in order to improve the speed, removing apps that you no longer use would be the key.
